Good flavor, soft and chewy not plastic feeling like some but a bit sticky

I try out just about every licorice I come across (all different flavors, other than the black which I just don't care for). Darrell Lea and Wiley Wallaby are two of my favorites & just about all flavors are good from those two brands. Just now getting around to trying this Panda out. I was not prepared for this. "Not good" just doesn't sum it up. I'm not being hyperbolic or dramatic when I say this (Raspberry - Panda) was some of the nastiest tasting licorice/candy/sweet/treat I've ever put in my mouth. Dry, crumbly, not chewy, not sweet, not sour, not tasty, not pleasant or enjoyable. "Fluke"? Possibly - because I can't imagine a company staying in business if this is their peak product. Luckily I had a fresh bag of Wiley - Watermelon arrive at the same time to (not an exaggeration whatsoever) to get rid of the taste of Panda Raspberry. Disappointing. Who wants to try a new licorice that turns out awful? Noone. It's so bad.

These were okay, the dominate taste to me was maple not the raspberry and the texture falls apart when you chew it. IMO much prefer the real taste of the fruit such as Wiley or Darrell gave a cleaner more pungent raspberry flavor and texture was a lot better. I bought all three for a comparison test of the three. W was watermelon they did not have stand alone raspberry and D raspberry were much better than these. I really wanted to like these since its pretty much natural ingredients and I do like maple but not when I buy raspberry and just get a hint of that and the texture just kind of crumbles in your mouth with a strange taste. I can't vouch for the other flavors but their main ingredient is maple.

Licorice is my weak spot in the candy game. I really hate how no matter who makes them, they're always very high in calories. I thought buying a natural bag of licorice would help me feel less guilty, and they also wouldn't taste as good as Red Vines which I consume by the pound. I was completely wrong... these raspberry licorice pieces were FANTASTIC. I mistakenly kept the bag by my computer desk, and kept opening it every 5-10 minutes for another serving. Before I knew it, I ate the whole bag. These are very addicting, and made with REAL ingredients. I was overwhelmed with the natural sweet tastes Panda pulled off with these bites. The texture is very genuine, I must say. If you hate the fake texture of Twizzlers, and feel like you're eating plastic... these licorice pieces taste like they're fresh out of the candy oven (I have no idea how you make these things). Treat yourself to a bag! It might cost more than a box of red vines, but it's an amazing flavor you won't forget.

Went through so much to find Licorice without corn syrup first ingredient and this was supposedly molasses. The only flavor is bland with mainly overly sweet stale syrup. How with real raspberry purée and lemon is there no tangy fruity flavor? I bought from Amazon to avoid the 3rd party restock. So there’s not even the returned old product to claim just avoid this terrible product. My dad deserves better for his birthday treat and you do too!
