Chloro to find residual chlorine in drinking water Range:0-2.00pm. to estimate the residual chlorine in water. Senthil chloro is a simple, sturdy compact, portable and easy to operate comparator apparatus to estimate the residual chlorine in water. Ideally suited for both large and small users of water treated with chlorine. Senthil chloro is extensively used in municipal, panchayat and rural water systems, hospitals railways, defence establishments, factories, laboratories, farms, dairies and other field applications. INSTRUCTIONS: Remove the top lid. Fill the left-side test tube with untreated water and insert it on colour disc side. Fill the right-side test tube with the water treated with chlorine solution or . Add 3 or 4 drops of Senthil Reagent (orthotolidine) from the special dropper bottle. Shake well and replace it on the right-side. Close the top cover and view against light. Compare the colour of the water being tested with the standard colour discs. Note the reading of the matching disc. This value indicates the residual chlorine in PPM in the treated water.
