For someone that struggles with dry hair especially in the winter months, this product has been really helpful! The consistency is easy to work with, it lathers well and smells really good too! I normally wash my hair with another conditioner followed by this product and then use a conditioner. It is on the pricy side, but I would still recommend!

Really impressed with the fast dispatch and delivery. The product received is exactly as advertised and arrived in perfect condition due to very good packaging. I have never used this product before but I’m excited to use based on the many good reviews. I will surely be using this company again in the near future. Highly recommend.

This shampoo is my regular go to for my locs. Keeps my hair moisturised and soft I think the page needs up dating as the packaging has changed

First of all I have Locs as a hairstyle and all the talk about conditioners leaving residue in the hair does not bother me because as long as you rinse well then all is fine. This conditioner made my hair feel soft and has a slight smell of honey, it did not detangle, it was lightweight i.e some conditioners “sit” on the hair shaft, this one glided through - very smooth and I liked this feeling considersidering that I have only used once. Used together with the shampoo; excellent combination. I would definitely buy again for whatever my hairstyle.

This is a great cleansing shampoo. It cleans without stripping your hair. It leaves it smooth.

absolutely lobe this shampoo. It smells amazing and leaves my hair feeling super soft and hydrated after. I have very thick type 4c hair and this will be my shampoo from now on. If I could be an ambassador I would lol.

I love this shampoo. It is very moisturizing. I have locs and find it can soften your ends a bit. However it lathers well, smells divine. Cleans well without stripping your hair

Let me tell you something. This is my official first Amazon review, but I needed to get on Beyonce's internet and spread the good news. I've been a natural, true 4C girl for over a decade. I've used all of the different products, before and AFTER they were sold to larger companies. The Shea Moistures, the Cantus, the Mielles, the Camille Roses, the Carol's Daughters, ALL OF THEM. This is the first shampoo in which I actually look forward to my wash day. Before I would have to go through the process of pre-pooing, detangling and sectioning before I even hopped in the shower; now I can just hop in and detangle in the shower, QUICKLY. This shampoo has quite literally cut my wash day down. The first time I used it, I actually used too much because of how much it lathers in my hair. Now after a month of weekly use, I've learned that a little goes a long way: I get a smallish/medium sized amount into my hair and work it with my hands, then use a wide toothed comb to finish the process. The shampoo does most of the work before I even get in there with the comb. And it feels so luxurious and soft. I've also starting folding in the deep conditioner and the daily lotion into my routine and I find that my hair is actually retaining moisture for so much longer and I shed way less hair. Literally no other product has liked my hair like Design Essentials has. I am a full convert.

My favorite. Lathers great in our hard water. Leaves my hair soft and seems to stay clean longer. I have long hair and it only takes a small amount with one wash. No conditioner needed.

I use this on my Locs. A little goes a long way! Lathers up real nice. You have to use all three products as Damien Walters says for it to work. Yes you need to condition your locks!! I do notice the difference when my hairdresser doesn’t use it. My stylist doesn’t want me to use conditioner as it unravels my locs some (which it does, but once your hair is locked it’s locked, yes it’s more work for the stylist to go through and section and part, but just charge a little more if it means your clients will have healthy locks. But as he says use very little of it and work it into your hair, because your hair needed moisturization (his word) prior to locking so it will still require it when you’re locked. I now just wash and condition my locs myself prior to getting re twisted. I’m at an agree to disagree, because I did notice a big difference in my re twist when I had my stylist wash it and only the oat Protein & Henna was used vs me washing it twice with that, twice with the Honey Cre’me, and a palm size amount of Rosemary & Mint conditioner then under the dryer for 15 minutes. Should be longer but I personally don’t sit that long. Some said it makes their hair hard, but I haven’t experienced that. First two pictures are a day after a re twist. Third picture is two days after a re twist with using just one product. Last picture is of all the line that I use. It’s worked for me so far in the 4 months that i’ve been on my journey and that’s all I can say about it. Good luck.
