This heavy duty gate castor is designed to support a gate where there is some variation in the ground level and if the gate requires additional support. In most cases attachment of the gate castor should be at the lowest ground level point, allowing the spring to compress as the gate moves over higher ground. This heavy duty gate castor is our heaviest duty gate wheel as it has a 5mm thick fabricated steel body and a very heavy duty rubber wheel and a SEALED BEARING. NB Important safety notice when fitting these gate wheels you should only use heavy reversible hinges or if using either hook and band hinges or adjustable hook and band hinges the top hooks must be reversed (pointing down) to eliminate the possibility of the gates being lifted off the hooks.
