A Hindi action film with Akshay Kumar in the lead, Khiladi - 786 (2012) marks the return of Akshay Kumar to the super-hit series after 12 years. Directed by Ashish R Mohan, with Asin Thottumkal as the lead heroine, the film also stars Mukesh Rishi, Mithun Chakraborty, Raj Babbar, and Himesh Reshammiya in the supporting roles. Mansukh is the goofy son of Champak Lal, who owns a marriage bureau. His job is to find the right match and get people married to each other. But every marriage that he tries to fix ends in a disaster. An exasperated Champak Lal throws his son out of the house. Mansukh desperately wants to prove his worth. Indu (Asin) is the sister of T T Bhai (Mithun Chakraborthy), an underworld don. She is a spoilt brat. T T Bhai wants to get his sister married into a decent family. Mansukh accepts the challenge. He promises to get her married to a so-called top cop in Punjab named Bahattar Singh (Akshay Kumar). To make the alliance possible, he convinces T T Bhai himself to pretend to be a cop. What they don’t know is that Bahattar Singh, along with Sattar Singh and Ikhattar Singh, his her and uncle, who cl to be cops, are conmen. Now there are two criminal families, both pretending to be cops which adds to the confusion. What follows is a rollercoaster ride. With delightful music, romance, comedy, and power-packed action, this is an Akshay Kumar treat at its best. Khiladi 786 (2012) was mostly in Mumbai and Punjab.
